I was diagnosed with kidney/ bladder cancer and was given an oncologist who I did not have any knowledge of or their background or specialized field, afterwards I did my own research and found Dr Birtles, whom I had heard of, she has all the expertise and knowledge of my type of cancer, she is funny, approachable, and thorough in everything, I feel I am in very capable hands which in turn takes away some of the fear and worry of this disease, I definitely made the right choice! The team around her have the same positive friendly approach, which is just fantastic. The only thing that I would like is a better consulting room, better chairs, also the chance to look at the results of scans etc the room with bed and chairs feels a bit 'cell' like, a small niggle but just that..

Dr Birtle instilled confidence in me that the proposed treatment would be effective. I feel reassured on the way ahead. I was given time and treated as an individual.

My visit was one of six monthly checks monitoring any further problems from the treatment I received for my cancer. Dr. Birtle was well up to date with everything concerning my present progress and was very helpful and informative in answering the few questions I had regarding future developments. She has a very pleasant manner and gives confidence to those in her care. I have no criticism of any of the treatment I have received at the Rosemere Centre and in her care particularly. I would find it difficult to suggest improvements as I have a feeling that her workload is not light, judging from the numbers that are always present in the patient waiting rooms there. Thanks for everything so far !
